Smooth and Transparent Experience Feb 22, 2025

We engaged Plumbing & Air Service Co. to replace 2 HVAC systems and the ductwork under our house. The experience was very smooth and transparent. Paul Ashby was our salesperson. Paul was extremely thorough and transparent in his process and alerted us to issues we didn't know we had in our crawlspace (rusting septic pipe/unhooked dryer vent). He spent a ton of time walking us through our options and made sure that we picked the right equipment to balance between increased efficiency of our systems and budget. Additionally, we appreciated that Paul wasn't pushy at all in the sales process and gave us the time to make the decision on our own. The day after we signed the paperwork, a huge crew (6+ technicians!) came out in the snow/cold and got to work first thing in the morning. The job took 2 full days, and the crew stayed late on the last day (a Friday, mind you) to make sure the job was complete so we would have heat over the weekend. Thank you so much Plumbing and Air for the honest business practices and great service!

I did 25 years in the Air Force, so I look for good workmanship and customer service. Thankfully I've found this company to have it all. We need to replace our oil furnace and A/C unit. Duke Energy referred this company to me. I called them and got a quote the same day. Allan Bowers gave us 3 options to choose from. They offer 0 percent financing up to 5 years. They are paying the sales tax and we are getting 2 rebates. We are seniors on a fixed income. Allan worked hard to give us a price we could afford. We get our new system in 5 days. He even offered to give us window units in the meantime. There's so much more that's included. Please call this company when you are looking for quotes. You won't be disappointed. Let them know we referred you as we get $250 for the referral.

We had both toilets not working. There was a major clog, water was coming up around the base. Joe showed up after hours, got everything working again. They were courteous, professional, friendly, and explained everything. They did a wonderful job; you'd have never known there was a problem when they were done. We elected to go with the service membership. He explained everything that offered/included. We were very happy with the job/service and highly recommend them. I give them 5 stars. They had to come back when the toilet wasn't flushing properly again. It was then we discovered an issue, luckily sooner than later. Roots from azalea bushes planted by the previous owner had grown through the pipe. They also buried the outside cap (people, do not bury your clean-out and don't plant anything over it). I had to have the bushes removed. They came back and replaced the pipe, and everything is working beautifully. We just bought this house and had the furnace serviced. It was in need of repairs. The furnace is 23 years old. Our technician, Devonte, was very helpful in giving us multiple options. We asked what a new furnace would cost. He called Guy, and Guy showed up about 20 minutes later and sat with myself and my husband, talking with us at length, answering all our questions. We didn't feel pressured; we were well informed, and we elected to go with a brand-new furnace and AC. We got a good price and very reasonable financing. We can't say enough how happy we are with the service we got. The new furnace and AC were installed yesterday. Everything went like clockwork. The team showed up first thing in the morning, cheerful and ready to tackle the job at hand. They were polite and professional. They made sure any/all questions were answered. This unit was a different size than the old one. They laid out all the choices for placement in detail and their significance, and asked which I preferred. That was a great help in making my final decision. Once installed, I could immediately tell the difference. Let's face it: no one wants the cost of a new furnace/AC. We dread it. But this was, I have to say, as painless a process as I've ever had. I didn't walk away from the process confused, wondering, 'What did I do? Did I make the right choice?' I walked away confident in the process and the choices I made. Still with Plumbing and Air, we're very happy with them. 5 stars. Cam came and did a check of all our plumbing and discovered a leak under the kitchen sink. Talk about timing! (our regularly scheduled maintenance check). It obviously hadn't been there too long—no damage, just a mess to clean up. Nothing needed replacing; he just tightened what was loose. Crisis averted. I highly recommend having a routine check. Thank you, Cam!! So, James came to do an electrical check of our house (this is a new service they're providing). He was very polite, informative, and answered several questions we had. There are a few things we want to address, but it's nothing imperative, thank God. We need to plan for these. I really feel like I'm getting a good all-around check of my house. It's like going to the doctor for your yearly physical. Stay on top of things, ya know? I've never had a company that provided all of this before (it's part of our maintenance plan), and they have so many other services they provide as well. If you want peace of mind, go with Plumbing and Air.

Andy… it was evident that Andy is very knowledgeable and extremely professional. Based upon how he handled my case, which was a very lengthy process, however with Andy's assistance, I was able to be reassured that everything will be taken care of. He apologized for work that he wasn’t even responsible for. He’s a very pleasant, highly professional young man… he made sure that my matter was resolved and kept me updated through the process. Based upon Andy’s service, I will recommend this company to my family and friends. And there was Aaron. He too was extremely pleasant and professional. He explained the function of the Generac, and covered up his shoes before entering my home. A Beautiful New Faucet Feb 10, 2025

Chris came out today to replace a kitchen faucet. (I supplied the new one.) I had a feeling the old one would be a beast to remove, but Chris got it done and I now have a beautiful new faucet. He also educated me on some aspects of the plumbing in my condo, which I very much appreciated. All this and he was very pleasant to work with. While he was here, I signed up for a member contract, which I have always been a proponent of because I know that maintaining our systems is key to their longevity. I am new here in Mt. Airy and am so thankful to have found your company to partner with for my electrical, plumbing, and HVAC needs.
